MAY 10, 2010 – NSoW Party a Success
No Shortage of Work made its mark on the sidewalks of New York City for the first time.
We had a wonderful night of drinks, discussion, and ideas at Jimmy’s Coffee Shop the other night.
SAVE THE DATE : The next party will be on June 8 – look for details in your newsletter soon. (Sign up today!)
We are grateful to all our NSoW subscribers who volunteered: Traci Gordon, Maria Forgo, Richard Weaver, and Paul Share.
We can’t talk about how great our party was without thanking Jimmy, the owner of Jimmy’s Coffee Shop. He was kind enough to let us use his wonderful restaurant for the evening, and we’re especially grateful that his happy hour lasts until 8 p.m.!

The party began outside before it got too cold.
Everyone had a great time networking and learning about each other.

I love the variety of fascinating and helpful people that NSOW has managed to attract to each of their networking parties. I have always tended to shy away from “networking” event, but I find that I have a great time at NSOW’s events and always connect with great people
Party was nice
It is fun to give people my years of experience as well as some good advice
Plus I like the fact that it was at a good friend’s place
Jimmy’s
were the food is good and Pizza on the corner is great
He owns both places
Jimmy’ place can be used again This is his first time hosting Any suggestions for him to improve it for next time would be appreciated by him
It was one of the better networking events I’ve been to. I spoke to some fascinating and interesting people from all walks of life, all truly interested in the ideas and interests of the people there. This was so much better than networking for a job; at this party you got to know people.
I have been to a few of these now, and I can say with certainty that if you are looking for hidden job opportunities, you really need to be here.
Visiting NYC as european (danish living in Cologne, Germany ~ I guess I can’t hide on the pic. wearing a cheerfull pink jacket
) it was a great opportunity for me to met up to a NSoW party meeting other people moving forward to get ideas for a good foothold in the job market and/or making their dreams and passions in workinglife come true.
NSoW makes it really possible to met so many openminded, helpful and facinating people from all walk of life; people from different nations with all kind of professional knowledge, with various interesting life experiences and interesting awesome stories from real life.
I had a great time ~ and look forward for a next possibility for taking part in a NSoW Party somewhere … maybe next time in Germany … you can never know
