Thank you for giving me a chance to post. I recently received my PhD in the life-sciences. Though I learned a lot in graduate school about science, I feel that I am lacking the skills I desire in leadership. In my short career in academic science, it has been my observation that most tenured scientists/professors do not make great leaders. They never had the training. Not only have I witnessed how bad leadership and lack of mentorship can hurt a young scientist, but unfortunately I have personally been effected. I know I am a good scientist but also realize I am far from being a good leader. So I am humbly asking for a mentor in becoming a good leader.
